Location
The redevelopment of West Sedona School's campus in the scenic red rocks of Sedona aimed to create a harmonious connection with nature and the local arts community. The master plan prioritized preserving the existing buildings while enhancing the existing buildings. The goal was to improve campus organization, establish a new main entrance, and achieve a net-zero impact on utilities. The design incorporated walls of glass and natural materials to provide a seamless connection between users and the surrounding natural environment. Inspired by the adjacent mountains, the building rooflines and overall form were designed to blend into the picturesque red rock landscape, creating a campus architecture that harmonizes with its surroundings. project completed while at orcutt | winslow.
