GCU Fleming Library Repurpose

Location

The Fleming Library, one of the oldest buildings on GCU’s campus, had served various functions over time. When the library was relocated to a different part of the campus, this building, located at the entrance of the campus, was deemed ideal for housing key administrative personnel. During the existing building analysis phase, we uncovered the beauty in the craftsmanship of the 50’s. We chose to reveal the inherent building structure to honor the campus's history and heritage while seamlessly integrating a futuristic functional vision.
The new building materials are purposefully juxtaposed against the existing ones, highlighting the sharp contrast and the harmonious coexistence of the old and the new.
