Year Completed

Arcadia High School

Location

Arcadia High School, Scottsdale Unified School District underwent three-years of redevelopment to a complete new School image. The goal was to transform the school into a modern learning environment while honoring the history, character, culture, and scale of the surrounding Citrus neighborhood. Inspired by the School’s mascot, the new design evolved around a spacious courtyard that is visible from every part of the surrounding spaces. The building's form, materials, colors, and landscaping were chosen to align with the historical context, while also creating smaller learning communities within the larger campus. The project was successfully completed under the guidance of Orcutt | Winslow.
